Kutchi Carpet was founded and established by Prakash Siju from Bhujodi, a young generation weaver from the Marwada community of Kutch. Weaving is a traditional craft of this community. His great grandfather started carpet weaving in his family.
Prakash is 3rd generation keeping the legacy alive with modern innovation and new exploration, blending tradition with the new technique. In 2008, after getting formal design education from Kala Raksha Vidyalaya, Prakash started his family enterprise with the brand name Kutchi Carpet.
